Series of 6 golden patterned porcelain mugs inspired by the facades of the most famous Viennese Art Nouveau buildings.
Our porcelain cups are specially produced by Kahla/Thüringen and decorated by hand.
From the metropolitan railway station at Karlsplatz (opened 1899), part of the Vienna Stadtbahn designed by Otto Wagner, the two former station entrances still stand facing one another. With their stylised golden sunflowers by Joseph Maria Olbrich, they epitomise Viennese Jugendstil (Art Nouveau style). The Pavilions were moved during the construction of the underground in the late 1970s. Today, one houses an Otto Wagner museum and the other a café.
